I have heard this phrase somewhere on social media not so long ago. And they spoke about how fear shouldn’t stop you from doing things. That it’s okay to feel scared of something that you actually want to do. And we are usually scared because we don’t know what the outcome might be, or if we are going to like it or not. But we shouldn’t let fear stop us from living. 

So even though I’ve never traveled solo and I don’t know how it’s going to turn out. I know that I love travelling and seeing the world. I cannot wait till someone else decides to join me. I will do it alone, and I will do it scared. 

I am going to take this phrase and let it be my motto for this trip. I will remind myself this phrase every time I let fear take over the wheel for a moment. Maybe I’ll even get it tattooed? A permanent reminder might come in handy. 

As I said goodbye to my partner at the airport, with tears running down my face, I heard the little voice in me say ‘do it scared’. And I went. 

Let the trip of a life time begin.
